How we work

The boring documents most agencies will not show you.

Buyers ask for a sample status report, a QA checklist and a measurement plan during procurement — and almost no agency publishes them. Ours are below. Anyone can write a manifesto; only an operator has a checklist.

Sample status report

What you get each month, or every two weeks on larger retainers.

Editorial QA checklist

Every piece clears this before it reaches you, compliance items included.

Measurement plan template

Events, attribution window, and what we refuse to report on.

One page

UTM and naming convention

So your reporting still makes sense in eighteen months.

The engagement

What the first 90 days look like.

WEEKS 1–2Audit and baselineThe Acquisition Audit, plus tracking rebuilt and a documented baseline. We do not touch spend until measurement is honest.
WEEKS 3–4Compliance and structureVerification, category classification, account restructure. The unglamorous work that stops the account going down later.
WEEKS 5–8Test, then commitPaid finds the messages that land. The winners become the pages we build organically.
WEEKS 9–12CompoundOrganic takes over the terms you were renting. Budget moves to the next test. First honest read on pipeline.
Reporting

What we report — and what we refuse to.

WE REPORT

CAC payback period

Marketing-sourced pipeline

SQL conversion rate by source

Accounts approved and kept live

Pages shipped, keywords entering the top 20

Measured over a window matching your sales cycle

WE DO NOT

Blended ROAS

Impressions and reach

"Value delivered" totals

Any 30-day performance window

Vanity keyword counts

Lead volume without quality

Median SaaS CAC payback is around 16 months; at $50K–$100K ACV (USD, industry benchmark) it is closer to 22. Anyone promising sub-12-month payback is promising better-than-median performance; the top quarter of the 198 companies in the 2026 Aleph × Benchmarkit report pay back in six months or less. Why we report CAC payback rather than ROAS is set out in ROAS vs CAC: why ROAS misleads in B2B SaaS. Where the 16- and 22-month figures come from, and why “under 12 months” is a target rather than a benchmark, is in CAC payback period benchmarks for B2B SaaS and fintech. Why we judge channels on SQL conversion by source rather than lead volume is set out in SEO vs PPC lead quality: what the pipeline data actually shows. Where the MQL and SQL line sits, and why it decides that rate, is in MQL vs SQL: where the line goes. How the SaaS magic number is calculated, and why it is a first check rather than a verdict, is in SaaS magic number: formula, 2026 benchmarks and when it misleads.
Terms

The guarantee, in full.

Most agencies that lead with a guarantee do not publish its terms. Ours are here, exclusions included.

If we cannot get your advertising account approved and compliant within 30 days of kickoff, you do not pay the management fee for that month.

EXCLUSIONS

— Where the underlying product or claim is not permitted by platform policy

— Where required documentation is not supplied within 5 working days of request

— Where an existing ban predates the engagement and the platform declines appeal

— Where changes are made to the account by others during the period
